I am Taylor Hodge's mom and was wondering how we are able to get into
our children's sites. I need to do some updating and need some
direction.
Please let me know.

Hi:
If you need to do maintenance on the old site, please email any changes you need to make, and I will be happy to apply them.
If you would like, I can create a new sub section to this site that you can have administrative access to to maintain the site with your web browser.

I think it would be of great benefit for parents (or whoever set up childs details) to be able to access it to make amendments, add photos, etc.

If a parent (etc) put in their child's entry, I believe that they should just be able to log in, and then to change the entry. If Kenneth or I put in the entry, then we are the ones who have to make the changes. In order for us to change the way that works, we would have to give everyone on the site an administrator log in. This would allow someone to change all entries, and also allow them to change many things on the site. I do not think that it would be a good idea for everyone on here to have the administrator log in. Don't get me wrong, I do not think that anyone would purposefully mess anything up, but sometimes accidents happen, and with that many people able to change or delete major things from the site, I think that we could have problems. Forinstance, when I first began helping with administration, I accidentally did something in the pure code that disconnected all the links to all of the "kids" individual web pages. It was a huge fiasco, scared the heck out of me, and I ended up spending all night fixing it. That being said, Ken has offered to give admin. log ins to people who would like assist with the maintenence of the site. If you would be interested in that, please feel free to contact Ken and talk to him. He has a whole tutorail on DotNetNuke that he can e-mail you, and then if you felt comfortable with it, he can then change your log in status. Again, just an offer if you are interested. Thanks, Brandy

I would like the tutorial. Not for this site but to learn how we can make our site better. Would that be possible? Mike
