Owen had his EEG today. Wiggly and whiny would be the two words to describe him while we were in there. It lasted about an hour. We had lunch while we were there and then we saw Dr. Schwaube (neurologist). There was changes in the EEG, he will be going off the Lamictal and we are adding Topamax along with the Keppra. Hoping to make things better. It looks like Owen will be a candidate for surgery. We will know more after the PET scan on April 11th. So hypothetically, if everything goes well and as planned Owen will probably have surgery sometime in May or June. We don't know much, they just don't think that medication will do much more for him. Are we worried? Of coarse!!! We just want to do what we can to make Owen's life better. We aren't jumping into this, so please just understand, and support us in our decision. It's not an easy decision it comes with a lot of risks, but if it's what we need to do we will do it, for Owen.
